Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wind turbine generator system capable of generating power both electrically and thermally by utilizing the wind power, while controlling power generation depending on the power demand, and capable of utilizing wind energy effectively.SOLUTION: A wind turbine generator system 1 includes a wind turbine 10, an induction rotary machine 20 coupled with the rotating shaft of the wind turbine 10, a power converter 30 for supplying an exciting current to the induction rotary machine 20, a heating medium distribution mechanism 40 for distributing a heating medium receiving the heat generated in the induction rotary machine 20, a heat accumulator 50 for accumulating the heat of the heating medium, a heat generator 60 for converting the heat of the heating medium stored in the heat accumulator 50 into electricity, and an armature control unit for controlling the exciting current depending on the power demand of a power system 100. The armature control unit performs one or both of power generation mode control for operating the induction rotary machine 20 as an electric generator, and a heat generation mode control for operating the induction rotary machine 20 as a heat generator.
