To provide a winding method for a ceramic sheet material wherein a winding work can be surely performed by less labor, and a high quality stability can be maintained for a long period of time.
A ceramic sheet winding device 11 in this method is used to wind the ceramic sheet material 4 on a ceramic core material 3, and is equipped with a pair of pressing fixtures 13 and 14, a jig driving means 15, and a load applying means 16. The pair of pressing fixtures 13 and 14 are arranged to be apart under a state wherein pressing surfaces 13a and 14a are confronted with each other. The jig driving means 15 moves one of the pressing fixtures 13 and 14 in the direction being horizontal with the pressing surfaces 13a and 14a. The load applying means 16 applies a load in the direction being vertical to the pressing surfaces 13a and 14a. At the time of a winding, a load to be received per ceramic core material is set to be within a range of 2 to 4 kPa.
