Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reliably connect chip part tapes to each other in a short time by providing two intermediate reels between a chip part reel and a rewind reel and driving the intermediate reels to rotate only when the chip part tape is to be rewound.
CONSTITUTION: A jig 1 is placed between a rewind reel 2 and first and second intermediate reels 3, 4, and a rear end of a chip part tape 5a wound around a reel of the wind reel 2 is connected to a front end of a chip part tape 5a wound around a reel of the first or second intermediate reel 3, 4 via a connection tape. Only when the chip part supply tape 5a is to be rewound around the respective intermediate reels 3b, 4b, reversely winding motors 3a, 4a are driven to rotate. Thus rewinding of the chip part tape 5a already connected and reverse winding of the tape 5a to be connected next for taking out its rear end are simultaneously done, thereby shortening the time required for connection.
