To provide a wiper for a liquid ejection head capable of performing pressure contact wiping operation surely while following up variation in the position of the liquid ejection head through a simple structure, and to provide a liquid ejector.
The wiper 10 for wiping a liquid ejection head 51 when moving relatively to the liquid ejection head 51 comprises a wiping member 90 having a wiping end part 95 touching and wiping the nozzle surface of the liquid ejection head 51, a guide part 93 for guiding the wiping member 90 to move linearly along the guide direction Z, and an urging part 100 for bringing the wiping end part 95 into pressure contact with the liquid ejection head 51 by imparting an urging force to the wiping member 90 thereby moving it linearly along the guide direction Z.
