To provide a wiper of a liquid ejection head capable of wiping a liquid ejection head surely by coming into line contact therewith in which a stress is not applied when it is not used and aging due to a stress is eliminated, and to provide a liquid ejector.
The wiper 10 for wiping a liquid ejection head 51 when moving relatively thereto comprises a planar wiping member 80 deformable resiliently when the liquid ejection head 51 is not wiped and having a recessed end part 90 for wiping the liquid ejection head 51 which is protruded in the advancing direction of the liquid ejection head 51 when coming into line contact with the liquid ejection head 51 thus wiping the liquid ejection head 51, and a supporting member 81 provided on the back with regard to the advancing direction of the wiping end part 90 and sustaining protrusion thereof when the wiping end part 90 comes into line contact with the liquid ejection head 51 thus wiping the liquid ejection head 51.
