Abstract:

To provide a wire catalyst for hydrogenation/dehydrogenation reaction, which exhibits catalytic activity for hydrogenation reaction of aromatic compounds or dehydrogenation reaction of a hydrogen derivative by aromatic compounds, a wire catalyst product, and a method for producing them.

The wire catalyst 1 for hydrogenation and/or dehydrogenation reaction comprises a metallic core wire 2 that undergoes self-heating by turning on electricity or electromagnetic induction, a main wire body W provided with an oxide layer 3 that is made of an oxide of any metal element composing the metal core wire, covers at least a part of the surface thereof, and has a porous structure, and a catalytic material that is supported in the porous structure of the oxide layer 3.
