Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To flow sawdust, which are generated by cutting an ingot by an electric discharge wire, in a proper direction and discharge the sawdust.SOLUTION: A wire electric discharge device 1 comprises: a wire 2 which is wound several times with a clearance in an axial direction of guide rollers 41A to 41F; a holding part 8 which holds in parallel the axial direction of the guide roller and an extension direction of an ingot I; feeding means 7 which causes the holding part 8 to approach a cut wire part 20 configured from the wire 2; means 31 for applying high-frequency power between electrodes of the ingot I and the cut wire part 20; and a water tank 10 in which the ingot I and the cut wire part 20 are immersed in a solution L. The machine includes ultrasonic wave supply means 5 which supplies ultrasonic wave to the solution L, the ultrasonic wave supply means 5 comprises a columnar ultrasonic oscillation part 50 which is positioned adjacent to the cut wire part 20 and a high frequency power source 51 for supplying high frequency power to the oscillation part 50. According to this device, the ingot I is cut while advancing the oscillated ultrasonic wave toward between the electrodes along an extension direction of the cut wire part 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
