PURPOSE: To provide a wood bending method and device, by which straight wood can easily and quickly be bent so as to allow to obtain uniform quality and stably curved wood.

CONSTITUTION: A backing frame 1 consists of a steel material having the L- shaped crosssection such as angle steel having a plurality state 1a formed thereon so as to be constituted elastically bendable in the side with the slits 1a. At both tire end parts of the backing frame 1, abutting plates 1b are mounted, outside of each of which a mounting plate 1a having a bored pin hole 1c' is mounted. The pin hole 1c' is bored at at position properly eccentric from the center axis line of wood W set to the backing frame 1. By installing a hydraulic cylinder 2 onto a frame F, the pressingly curved surface 3a of a die frame 3 is formed so as to have the final curvature of the wood W to be bent.
