Abstract:
To provide a workpiece correction method capable of accurately detecting occurrence of flapping.SOLUTION: The present invention is directed to a workpiece correction method which includes a roll correction machine 1 in which a plurality of correction rolls 11 are arranged, and in which a long workpiece W is pushed forward while supporting its rear end part by a pushing member 23 to throw the long workpiece W into the roll correction machine 1. A support position by the pushing member 23 is defined as a workpiece rear support position P2, a restriction position by a first correction roll 11a is defined as a workpiece correction entrance position P1, and a part from the P1 to the P2 of the workpiece W is defined as an un-input part W1. When the displacement amount of the un-input part W1 is detected by displacement amount detection means, a length of the un-input part W1 when a secondary natural frequency fn of the un-input part W1 coincides with workpiece rotation speed Rn is defined as "L1". A detection position of the displacement amount detection means is set in a range of (0.15×L1) to (0.35×L1) or (0.65×L1) to (0.85×L1) as a base point of the P 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
