Abstract:
To provide means for surely collecting a liquid attached to a maintenance mechanism.SOLUTION: An image recording device includes: a cap 62 that is brought into contact with a head and can cover a nozzle; a maintenance mechanism 60 that is partitioned by a partition wall 157 and a bottom plate 151 and has a liquid receptacle receiving ink; a first flow channel 65 circulating the ink from the liquid receptacle; a second flow channel 66 circulating the ink from the cap 62; a joint part 68 where the first flow channel and the second flow channel are merged; a suction pump; and a projection opening/closing the first flow channel. The head is movable between a covering position where the cap 62 is covered and a separation position where the nozzle is exposed. The projection is in a closed state of closing the first flow channel in conjunction with movement of the head where the cap 62 is positioned at the covering position, and the cap 62 is in an open state of opening the first flow channel in conjunction with movement of the head where the cap 62 is positioned at the separation position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
