PURPOSE: To provide a working device for a flexible grinding desk which grinds a ground surface into a given surface shape.

CONSTITUTION: A device is made up of a flexible grinding desk 1 on the stationary surfaces 6 and 7 of a desk substrate 5 of which grinding sheets 8 and 9 are fixed with tension force applied in the radial direction, a drive mechanism 2 driving the flexible grinding desk, and of work chucks 4 which bring ground objects 3 into contact with the grinding sheet 8 with pressure. The plural stationary surfaces of the desk substrate are coaxial, let the grinding sheets have a given stiffness curve with the stationary surfaces fixed with the grinding sheets while given spaces are being selected in the radial direction, so that the ground objects are ground while each object is being brought into contact with the grinding sheet with pressure.
