Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a workpiece transportation method by which workpieces of different kinds can be efficiently transported with the use of a common gripping implement.SOLUTION: When a first workpiece W1 is transported, the workpiece W1 is gripped within a first range 8 of a gripping implement 2. When a second workpiece W2 is transported, the second workpiece W is gripped within a second range 9 of the gripping implement 2. The second workpiece W2 has a transportation-direction dimension smaller than that of the first workpiece W1, the second range 9 has a transportation-direction dimension smaller the than that of the first range 8 and is positioned on the transportation side of the gripping implement 2. Transportation of the workpiece W2 is performed along a transportation track 11 in which a transportation track 7 during transportation of the first workpiece W1 is parallel-displaced in a direction opposite to the transportation direction.
