Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven fabric which allows decoration such as pleats to be formed.SOLUTION: A woven fabric 10 includes a plurality of warp yarns 11 and a plurality of weft yarns 12 interlaced with the plurality of warp yarns. A plurality of warp yarns 21 which are part of the plurality of warp yarns 11 are shrinkage type warp yarns 21 which shrink more than the other warp yarns 11 in a lengthwise direction when subjected to specific treatment. Each shrinkage type warp yarn 21 includes a first jump part 21J where the first jump part 21J jumps over a first prescribed number of adjacent ones of the weft yarns 12 in at least one place in the lengthwise direction thereof. A plurality of the first jump parts 21J are arranged in a prescribed first pattern. As a plurality of weft yarns which are part of the plurality of weft yarns 12, it is possible to use shrinkage type weft yarns which shrink more than the other weft yarns in a lengthwise direction when subjected to the specific treatment.
