Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an X-lap type metallic honeycomb body used for depositing exhaust gas purifying catalyst which has particularly excellent durability of its center part and shows superior effectiveness in various respects such as purifying efficiency, etc., linked with the improvement in durability.
CONSTITUTION: This X-lap type metallic honeycomb body (XH) consists of at least two stacks (X1-Xn). At least either the flat sheets or the corrugated sheets of each of the stacks (X1-Xn) have at the contact ends the facial contact ends, at which each stack is abutted on other stacks facially and through which the contact ends of each of the stacks (X1-Xn) are fixed to those of each of other stacks.
