PURPOSE: To eliminate labor in the setting operation and also likelihood of missetting by providing possibility of setting of an X-ray control device without making any maneuvering by a person using a simple and inexpensive configuration, wherein the X-ray control device requires frequency setting complying with the frequency of the AC power supply in use prior to the start of the device because a plurality of AC power supply frequencies appear in accordance with the region for which the device is to be shipped.

CONSTITUTION: An X-ray control device is equipped with a CPU for control and a timer circuit, and an AC power supply is used as the power supply for the device, and either of different X-ray conditions is controlled in synchronization with the phase of the AC power supply. The arrangement further includes a power supply phase sensing circuit 8 which emits a signal when the AC power supply 9 is in a specific phase, a signal transfer means 7 which gives the output signal therefrom to the CPU 1, and a BUS. The CPU 1 and timer circuit 6 measure the time interval of the output signals each other from the sensing circuit 6 given to the CPU 1 through the BUS, and on the basis of the measurements the CPU 1 judges and acknowledges the frequency of the AC power supply 9.
