To provide a yarn heating apparatus capable of reducing power consumption of a heater for heating a yarn fed by a yarn feeding roller.
In a yarn heating apparatus, a yarn Y spun out from a spinning machine is sent into an inlet side space 22 through a slit 25a to enter a heat retaining space 21 through a slit 26a, and is sent a plurality of times between a godet roller 11 and a separate roller 12 in the heat retaining space 21 to enter an outlet side space 23 through a slit 2b, and goes out of a heat retaining box 13 through a slit 25b. The heat retaining box 13 is provided with a heat exchanger 40. Heat of warm air flowing into the outlet side space 23 from the heat retaining space 21 is transferred to the inlet side space 22 by a heat pipe 41 extending between the inlet side space 22 and the outlet side space 23. Cold air flowing into the inlet side space 22 from the outside of the heat retaining box 13 through the slit 25a is heated by such heat, and then flows into the heat retaining space 21 through the slit 26a.
