To provide a yarn winder and a yarn transferring method for transferring and simultaneously cutting a yarn with neither a traverse roller section nor a friction roller section lifted, and preventing a middle bunch phenomenon in the innermost layer of a cake.
The yarn winder includes: a rotation drum; bobbin holders rotatably provided at the upper and lower parts of the rotation drum, and loaded with a plurality of bobbins; a traverse roller section for winding a yarn around the upper bobbin with a predetermined traverse width; and a friction roller section for applying a constant pressure to the yarn. The yarn winder further includes: a shift guide for separating the yarn path from a traverse position; a transfer tail forming section for guiding the yarn to a transfer tail groove of the bobbin when transferring and cutting the yarn; and a swing guide section for guiding the yarn path to the transfer tail groove of the bobbin when transferring and cutting the yarn, and for maintaining yarn tension constant until cutting the yarn.
