Abstract:

To provide a yarn winder and a method for cutting and transferring a yarn with a rotation drum simply rotated by 180°, obviating the need for another device for cutting and transferring the yarn.

The yarn transferring method and the yarn winder include steps of: winding the yarn from a slide box until an empty bobbin loaded on an upper part becomes full by loading the empty bobbin to upper and lower bobbin holders provided to the rotation drum; lifting the slide box and rotating the rotation drum for lifting the slide box and rotating the rotation drum counter-clockwise when the upper bobbin becomes full; transferring the yarn to the empty bobbin by rotating the rotation drum by 180°, positioning the full bobbin to the lower part and the empty bobbin to the upper part, cutting the yarn between the full bobbin and the empty bobbin by tension; stopping the rotation of the full bobbin; and lowering the slide box winding the yarn on the empty bobbin with a constant traverse width.
