Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a yarn produced by binding fibers with a binding yarn comprising a meltable continuous fiber, free from defects of industrial technology and strength and giving a woven or knit fabric having remarkably improved formability and moldability.
CONSTITUTION: The objective yarn 1 for the production of industrial woven fabric, knit fabric or the like based on carbon fiber, glass fiber, aramid fiber, ceramic fiber or the like is produced by binding fibers with a binding yarn 3 comprising a meltable continuous fiber 2. The binding yarn 3 is preferably meltable by chemical or thermal means or made of a thermoplastic material.
