Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A yellow pigment, bis-(4,5,6,7-tetrachloroisoindolin-1-on-3- ylidene)-phenylenediamine(1,4) I characterized by two strong diffraction peaks at diffraction anlges (2θ) of about 9.7° and 25.2°, and three weak diffraction peaks at about 26.2°, 27.1° and 30.1°.
USE: Used in the field particularly requiring high weather resistance and heat hrsistance. Useful for coloring of coatings or resins applied to outdoor objects, e.g. motor vehicles, etc..
PREPARATION: The compound I is prepared by hydrolyzing reghly pure dipotassium salt of bis-(4,5,6,7-tetrachloroisoindolin-1-one-3-ylidene)-phenylenediamine (1,4) II, with a large amount of water.
