PURPOSE: To eliminate inconveniencies that Z-shape folded documents in the extended condition after copying shall be folded again by an operator.
CONSTITUTION: An automatic document feeding device is provided with the first reversing process where Z-shape folded documents in the smoothed-out condition are moved from the reading position and reversed at the first reversing part (213) which is the first reversing part, the second reversing process where the Z-shape folded documents in the smoothed-out condition are again reversed at the second reversing part (214) which is the following reversing part, and the reverse feeding process where Z-shape folded documents (Gz) in the smoothed-out condition which are carried to the specified position are reversely fed. The device is also provided with a Z-shape re-folding process where the Z-shape folded documents in the smoothed-out condition are Z-shape folded between the first and the second reversing parts and a discharging process where the Z-shape folded documents are discharged to a documents storing means after re-folding of the Z-shape folded documents in the re-folding of the Z-shape folded process.
