Abstract:
To provide a zoom lens which is advantageous in terms of compactness, light weight, a high zoom ratio, a wide view angle, and high optical performance over an entire zoom range.SOLUTION: A zoom lens provided herein comprises, in order from the object side to the image side, a positive first lens group configured to be stationary when zooming, three or four movable lens groups configured to move for zooming, an aperture stop, and one or two rear lens groups including a rear lens group on the most object side configured to be stationary when zooming. Every distance between adjacent lens groups changes for zooming. The three or four movable lens groups include a negative movable lens group. A P lens group of the three or four movable lens groups located on the most image side has positive refractive power. The first lens group has at least three positive lenses. A lateral magnification of the one or two rear lens group at the wide-angle end when an axial ray from infinity is incident while being focused at infinity, a minimum of effective diameters of lenses belonging to the P lens group, and an open diameter of the aperture stop are each set appropriately.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
