PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode, or the like, which allows for easy detection of the outer edge of an active material layer.SOLUTION: An electrode 10 includes an electrode base material 111, a conductive layer 112 containing a conductive aid and superposed on the electrode base material 111, and an active material layer 113 superposed on the conductive layer 112. The outer edge of the conductive layer 112 is disposed between the outer edge of the electrode base material 111 and the outer edge of the active material layer 113, and the difference of the brightness Lof the color of the surface of the conductive layer 112 between the outer edge thereof and the outer edge of the active material layer 113, and the brightness Lof the color of the surface of the active material layer 113 superposed on the conductive layer 112 on the inside of the outer edge of the active material layer 113 is 10 or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
