Title:
AIR CRAFT ROTOR BLADE HAVING SHAPE ADAPTED FOR IMPROVEMENTS ON ACOUSTIC ISSUE DURING FLYBY AND PERFORMANCES DURING HOVERING AND FORWARD FLIGHTS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017141013
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aircraft rotor blade having a shape adapted to make improvements on acoustic issue during flyby and performances during hovering and forward flights.SOLUTION: A blade provides a combination of relationships among changes in a sweep, a chord and a twist in a delimited airfoil profile so that, firstly, aerodynamic performance of the blade during both of forward flight and stationary flight can be enhanced, and secondary, noise generated during a flyby flight can be reduced. The blade has a double-tapered-shape providing three sweeps. The relationships on the twist are substantially constant across a first part of the blade, and reduced linearly or non-linearly in the rest of the parts. An appropriate change in a twist inclination of the blade allows the aerodynamic performances of the blade to be enhanced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
