Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means which enables the reduction in battery internal resistance, and therefore enables the suppression of the reduction in battery capacity with the progress of a charge-discharge cycle (i.e. the enhancement in cycle endurance) in an electric device such as a lithium ion secondary battery.SOLUTION: A positive electrode for an electric device comprises: a positive electrode current collector; and a positive electrode active material layer formed on the surface of the positive electrode current collector. The positive electrode active material layer includes, as a positive electrode active material, a lithium transition metal composite oxide of a lamellar crystal structure, which includes manganese and nickel and allows lithium ions to go thereinto and go out therefrom. The lithium transition metal composite oxide has a crystallite size of 900 Å or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
