PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ark generation position detection device and an ark generation position detection method which specify a generation position of ark in a DC power source.SOLUTION: An ark generation position detection device (15) includes: an ark detection section (31) for detecting generation of ark in a solar cell string (11); a disconnection position detection section (32) for detecting a disconnection position in the solar cell string (11); and a main control section (33) for outputting the disconnection position detected by the disconnection position detection section (32) as a generation position of the ark when the ark is generated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
