Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter for duodenal papilla extension facilitating positioning of a balloon and a papillary portion and preventing the position of the balloon from easily deviating from the papillary portion during papilla extension.SOLUTION: The balloon catheter for duodenal papilla extension includes a catheter tube (20), and a balloon (30) connected to a distal end of the catheter tube and being inflatable by fluid supplied via the catheter tube. The balloon includes a first marker (34) and a second marker (36) that project in an outward compared with adjacent portions on an outer surface and formed on the outer surface along the circumferential direction of the balloon. The balloon catheter for duodenal papilla extension is characterized in that the first marker is provided at a proximal side with respect to an axial-direction center of the balloon, and the second marker is provided at a distal end side with respect to the axial-direction center.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
