Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for a wheel which can improve sealing performance without increasing rotation torque.SOLUTION: A bearing device 1 for a wheel comprises: an outer ring 2 as an outer member; a hub ring 3 as an inner member; at least one inner ring 4 pressure-inserted into the hub ring 3; rolling bodies 5 rollingly accommodated between rolling faces of the inner member and the outer member; and a seal member 6 in which a seal lip is arranged at a seal plate 7 composed of a fitting part 7a and an inside diameter part 7b extending from an end part of the fitting part to the inside of a radial direction, and which seals a clearance between the outer ring 2 and the inner 4 by the contact of the seal lip with a slinger 8 composed of a cylinder part 8a and an erecting plate part 8b. A cylindrical flange part 8d extending from the erecting plate part 8b toward the seal plate 7 is formed at the erecting plate part 8b, an inside diameter of the flange part 8b is formed so as to be large as progressing toward a tip side from the erecting plate part 8b side, and an inside diameter of the fitting part 7a is formed so as to be large as progressing toward a tip side from the inside diameter part 7b side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
