Abstract:
To provide a beverage which is quickly absorbed, is available as energy, has high energy density, is light, excellent in portability and is easy to drink even during exercise as the energy supply beverage during the exercise.SOLUTION: A beverage is oil-in-water type emulsion of 2.0 kcal/g or more, which contains edible oil (A) and a starch decomposition product (B). A content of the edible oil (A) is 3 to 16 mass%, and the content of the starch decomposition product (B) is 40 to 60 mass%. In the edible oil (A), a total sum of caprylic acid and capric acid in a total fatty acid composition is 50 mass% or more. In the starch decomposition product (B), a dextrose equivalent is 10 to 20. It is desirable that a median diameter of oil droplets in the oil-in-water type emulsion is 1 μm or lower.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
