PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell stack device, a module and a module housing apparatus improving long-term reliability.SOLUTION: A cell stack device 10 includes a cell stack configured by arraying a plurality of cells 1 and a manifold 7 fixing one-ends of the plurality of cells 1 by a seal material 8 and configured for supplying reaction gas to the plurality of cells 1, the seal material 8 has an inside surface 8a formed on the internal space side of the manifold 7 and an outside surface 8b formed on the other side of the cell 1, and surface roughness of the inside surface 8a is larger than that of the outside surface 8b.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
