Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switching timing adjustment method and a communication device that can reduce the number of times of communication interruption with a slave unit occurring when a mode is switched from a master unit mode to a slave unit mode.SOLUTION: A communication device 400 when it is in a master unit mode monitors a communication cycle with a communication device operating as a slave unit and thereby predicts the next communication cycle, stores a management table associating a device ID of the communication device in connection with the communication cycle in a communication information management database 403, and adjusts switching time to a slave unit mode so as not to overlap with the communication cycle of the communication device in connection as much as possible on the basis of switching time information separately provided by an upper-level system and the management table.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
