Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil device for magnetic particle imaging which, without extremely enlarging the device, scans a zero magnetic field region in a subject in a direction perpendicular to a coil axis direction.SOLUTION: A coil device for magnetic particle imaging comprises a first coil 1 and a second coil 2 through which current flows in opposite directions and in which opening parts 12 are arranged to face each other, and a moving device 7 for moving the second coil 2. The first coil 1 is a coil having a long axis and a short axis, and the second coil 2 is a coil having an aperture smaller than that of the first coil 1. In a coil device 10, a second coil axis 17 of the second coil 2 is parallel to a first coil axis of the first coil 1. The moving device 7 moves the second coil 2 so that the second coil axis 17 of the second coil 2 is along the long axis of the first coil 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
