PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connection pipe that is connected to an exhaust pipe of an exhaust system for an automobile, for efficiently protecting an active silencer from heat.SOLUTION: A connection pipe 7 is provided for connecting a silencer housing 5 of an active silencer 4 and an exhaust pipe 3 for circulating an exhaust gas in an exhaust path 2 of an exhaust system 1 for a combustion engine, in particular, for a combustion engine of an automobile in a fluid passable manner. The connection pipe comprises a pipe wall part 8 including a connection space 9 from the silencer housing to the exhaust pipe. At least one cooling pipe 14 in which a coolant is circulated and which includes an inflow part and a discharge part is disposed in the connection space. The inflow part penetrates the pipe wall part in such a manner that a coolant suction port for introducing the coolant to the cooling pipe is disposed outside of the connection pipe, and the discharge part penetrates the pipe wall part in such a manner that a coolant discharge port for discharging the coolant from the cooling pipe is disposed outside of the connection pipe. Therefore, the silencer can be more efficiently protected from heat.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
