Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent misrecognition of an opening of an EGR valve due to initialization processing.SOLUTION: A control device of an internal combustion engine with an exhaust gas recirculation device including an EGR passage for communicating an intake passage and an exhaust passage, and an EGR valve for opening and closing the EGR passage, is constituted to execute initialization processing again after termination of the initialization processing when it is detected that voltage applied to a coil of a stepping motor is lowered to a prescribed value or less during the initialization processing to forcibly displace a valve element of the EGR valve to a limit position in a movable range by inputting a prescribed number of control pulses to the coil of the stepping motor driving the valve element of the EGR valve.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
