Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine, which controls an operation state of a first object to be controlled according to a target first operation state and controls an operation state of a second object to be controlled according to a target second operation state.SOLUTION: A future engine state after a predetermined time when the operation state of the second object to be controlled is controlled is predicted according to reference second operation states Degrb, Dvnb set during the time point before a predetermined time to the present time point. When the future engine state is in a state to establish a constraint, the target second operation state is set based on the reference second operation state set before the predetermined time. When the future engine state is not in a state to establish the constraint, constraint second operation states DegrL, DthL are calculated, capable of making the future engine state into establishing the constraints and the target second operation state is set based on the constraint second operation states.
