To provide a conversion plug which is optimal for construction of a branch joint used to extend a pipeline.SOLUTION: A conversion plug 1 is used in a branch joint 100 including an upstream side connection port part 101 for connecting a screw 200 for a water plug, a downstream side connection port part 102 for connecting the water plug, and a branch side connection port part 103 for connecting a branch side pipe P. The conversion plug 1 includes: a connection part 10 which may be attached or detached to/from the downstream side connection port part 102; a sealing part (a sealing corresponding part 11 and an O ring 2) which may be inserted or removed through an opening of the downstream side connection port part 102, seals the upstream side connection port part 101 from the side of the downstream side connection port part 102 at an interior of the branch joint 100, and prevents movement of water from the upstream side connection port part 101 to the downstream side connection port part 102 and the branch side connection port part 103; and an internal flow passage 13 which is provided in a direction along an axis L and formed in a penetration manner between an end surface at the side of the connection part 10 and an end surface at the side of the sealing part (the sealing corresponding part 11 and the O ring 2).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
