Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupling guard whose length can be easily adjusted, which enables attachment and detachment work in a state where a drive shaft of a prime mover is connected to a rotary shaft of a rotary machine to be facilitated, and further, which can eliminate the need of a leg member and dedicated production equipment.SOLUTION: A coupling guard 1 comprises: a cover 11 attachable to the rotary machine; a first guard 12 attached to the cover 11; and a second guard 14 attached to the first guard 12. The cover 11 includes: a through-hole 18 through which the rotary shaft can penetrate; an end plate part 19 having a polygonal shape; and a plurality of side plate parts 20 extending from the end plate part 19 toward the first guard 12. The plurality of side plate parts 20 are separated from one another; and the first guard 12 includes a first polygonal prism part 30 fixed to the side plate part 20. The second guard 14 includes a second polygonal prism part 36 into which a part of the first polygonal prism part 30 is inserted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
