Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a design method of a formed grinding tool which can prolong the service life of the formed grinding tool.SOLUTION: A design method of a formed grinding tool 10 having a grinding recess 11 for grinding an end face of a plate glass includes: a reference recessed shape setting step of determining a reference shape after the grinding of the end face of the plate glass and setting a grinding recess 12 of a reference recessed shape corresponding to this; a wear amount distribution acquisition step of acquiring wear amount distribution from the grinding recess 12 set in the reference recessed shape setting step to a grinding recess 13 which is a wear limit; and a recessed shape correction step of reflecting the wear amount distribution acquired in the wear amount distribution acquisition step in the grinding recess 12 set in the reference recessed shape setting step and correcting the recessed shape of the grinding recess 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
