Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a water-repellent surface capable of stably achieving high water-repellent property, and a water-repellent article with the water-repellent surface formed using the same method.SOLUTION: A method for forming a water-repellent surface by performing a sand blast treatment on a base material, wherein hard abrasive grains of average grain diameter, 0.3 to 20 μm are jetted to the surface of the base material to form a convexoconcave shape at an injection pressure 0.02 to 0.6 MPa, with an axis angle of an injection nozzle to the direction perpendicular to the surface of the base material is 0° to 85°, and a distance between a tip of the injection nozzle and the surface of the base material is 2 to 200 mm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
