Abstract:
観測衛星は、地球から放射された電磁エネルギーに関する情報を得るために使用される。観測衛星は、９０°より大きく、２７０°より小さい軌道傾斜角を有する軌道で地球を周回する。さらに、観測衛星は、少なくとも１つの受信アンテナを備え、前記少なくとも１つの受信アンテナは、地球に向けて方向付けられた受信パターンを有し、観測衛星が地球の表面に対して周回すると無線周波数帯域において電磁エネルギーを受信するのに適している。観測衛星はまた、（ｉ）受信した電磁エネルギーを再送信すること、（ｉｉ）受信した電磁エネルギーを表す情報を送信すること、及び（ｉｉｉ）受信した電磁エネルギーから導き出した情報を送信することのうちの少なくとも１つのために構成された送信機を備える。本願発明はまた、そのためのシステム及び方法に関する。
