Abstract:

To provide an echo canceling method that stably and efficiently cancels echo with less computation complexity even if an acoustic path between a reproduction means and a sound collection means is nonlinear, and sound volume significantly varies , and prevents deterioration in speech quality.

A received signal is divided into a plurality of components by a predetermined method. A false echo is generated for each component by using a plurality of adaptive filters with multiplication coefficients generated according to the size of the components set thereto, and then the false echo is subtracted from a collected signal to obtain a transmission signal from which the echo is canceled.
