Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a quick change in engine output by relaxing the restriction of the engine output if heel-and-toe operation is performed during executing output restriction control when an accelerator pedal and a brake pedal are stepped on at the same time.SOLUTION: A PCM 50 as a control device for an engine executes output restriction control when an accelerator pedal 104 and a brake pedal 102 are stepped on at the same time, and executes a determination about heel-and-toe operation which is performed with the accelerator pedal 104, the brake pedal 102 and a clutch pedal 106 stepped on at the same time. Specifically, the PCM 50 controls the engine during executing the output restriction control so that the change rate of engine output is increased when determining that the heel-and-toe operation is performed than when determining that the heel-and-toe operation is not performed, to relax the restriction of the engine output.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
