Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine capable of supplying oil from one end surface of a crank shaft into the inside of the crank shaft without increasing the number of component elements and cost and provide a saddle-riding type vehicle including the same.SOLUTION: One end surface 222e at one end of a crank shaft 222 faces a cover member 224. An axial flow passage 255 is formed inside the crank shaft 222. The axial flow passage 255 has an end opening 222h at an end surface 222e of the crank shaft 222. A pin flow passage 256 is formed inside the pin member 223. A cover flow passage 257 is formed inside the cover member 224. Oil stored in an oil pan 230 is guided to an oil gallery 251. Oil from the oil gallery 251 is guided to a pin flow passage 256. Oil from the pin flow passage 256 is guided to the cover flow passage 257. Oil from the cover flow passage 257 is guided to an end opening 222h of the crank shaft 222.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
