Abstract:
To suppress degradation of heat efficiency.SOLUTION: An engine 200 includes a cylinder, a piston housed in the cylinder, a combustion chamber facing the piston, a sliding portion (large diameter portion 114a) stroking integrally with the piston, a hydraulic surface facing the opposite side of the combustion chamber, of the sliding portion, a hydraulic chamber 154a facing the hydraulic surface, a communication passage 220 opened to the hydraulic chamber 154a at one ene in a case when a position in a stroking direction of the sliding portion is within a prescribed range, and closed at one end in a case when the position in the stroking direction of the sliding portion is determined in a direction separating from the combustion chamber with respect to the prescribed range, and an auxiliary hydraulic chamber 158b opened at the other end of the communication passage 220, and changing a volume according to the hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic chamber 154a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
