Abstract:
To provide a gate device capable of restraining a communication port from unintentionally opening by water pressure from the outer water side.SOLUTION: A gate device comprises: a gate body 2 comprising a door portion 4 and an arm portion 5 provided substantially perpendicular to the door portion 4 and extending along a water channel 100 from an inner water side A toward an outer water side B; a support body 3 supporting the gate body 2 around a horizontal shaft so as to oscillate with an end portion of the arm portion 5 as a fulcrum; and a driving device 6 displacing the gate body 2. The gate body 2 can remain in a closed position with its self-weight. In a state disposed in the closed position, a length L1 in a horizontal direction along a water channel from the fulcrum to a gravity center position of the door portion 4 is equal to or larger than a length L2 of a perpendicular line from a fulcrum descending to a position at a same height as a lower end portion of the door portion 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
