Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear processor which can suppress chattering vibration when processing a spiral gear by cutting processing using a processing tool which is formed by forming a tool blade on a tool end face, and a gear processing method.SOLUTION: A gear processor (1) processes a gear by using a processing tool (42) having a rotational axial line (L) which is inclined to a rotational axial line (Lw) of a workpiece (W) by relatively sending the processing tool (42) to the rotational axial line (Lw) of the workpiece (W) while rotating the processing tool synchronously with the workpiece (W). A blade striation (42b) of a tool blade (42a) of the processing tool (42) is torsionally formed with respect to the rotational axial line (L) of the processing tool (42), and a torsion angle (β) of the blade striation (42b) is formed into an angle which is obtained by adding a crossing angle (φ) which is formed of the rotational axial line (L) of the processing tool (42) and the rotational axial line (Lw) of the workpiece (W) to a torsion angle (θ) of the gear.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3A
