Abstract:
To increase a quantity of liquid helium being removed from a helium container which has been transported, and to decrease a helium gas quantity which is discharged into atmosphere.SOLUTION: A box-shaped helium container for accommodating and transporting a substantially-cylindrical shaped helium storage tank having a heat insulation structure comprises a helium adsorption device having a helium adsorbent for adsorbing gas helium from a liquid helium storage tank by using cold heat of liquid hydrogen in the helium container. By adsorbing a helium gas which is gasified in the liquid helium storage tank by using the cold heat of the liquid hydrogen, an inner pressure of the liquid helium storage tank is maintained at 0.13 MPa over a transportation period, a flash loss which occurs when liquid helium is removed from the liquid helium storage tank after transportation is reduced, liquid collection efficiency is improved, and an amount of atmosphere discharge can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
