Title:
BURNER FOR OPERATING COMBUSTION ENGINE, COMBUSTION CHAMBER FOR GAS TURBO GROUP OR FURNACE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3160079
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make possible that the tongue of flame can reach the flame front at the burner outlet constantly by disposing the end part of an ignition electrode at a part in a conical hollow chamber where the current velocity of combustion air is low.
CONSTITUTION: The tongue of flame can reach the flame front 1 at the burner outlet because ignition takes place at one position and a resulting flame reaches a premixing zone along a conical hollow chamber 14 in clearly chaotic state without being bridged. For that purpose, the end parts 25a, 25b of ignition electrodes 24a, 24b are disposed at a part 18a where the current velocity of medium is low. Interval of the electrode end parts 25a, 25b is preferably set at about 4 mm. Since ignition takes place at a part remote from the combustion zone where the current velocity of fuel air mixture is low, the ignition electrode is kept in cold state and the effectiveness thereof is enhanced.
