Abstract:
To provide a hybrid vehicle in which fuel consumption is reduced while the engine speed is maintained at or above the idle speed while the clutch is disengaged.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle 1 includes: an engine 2; a motor generator 3 capable of assisting in drive of the engine; a transmission 7 for transmitting the drive power of the engine and of the motor generator to drive wheels 6; a clutch 8 provided between the engine and the transmission and between the motor generator and the transmission to switch between transmitting and cutoff of the drive power of the engine and of the motor generator; and a controller 12 for performing electric idle control in which the fuel supply to the engine is interrupted and the output torque of the motor generator is controlled such that the engine speed becomes the idle speed, when the clutch is disengaged to cut off the drive power from the engine and the motor generator to the transmission.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
