Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding member including diamond-like carbon (DLC), in which peeling of a film is suppressed.SOLUTION: A sliding member comprises a base material 1 and a sliding part with a sliding surface. The sliding surface includes first sliding surfaces 2 and second sliding surfaces 3, where the first sliding surface 2 is formed by including DLC and the second sliding surface 3 is formed by including material having a higher friction coefficient than the DLC at a temperature of 25°C and a humidity of 45%, and further, the sliding member has a friction coefficient of 0.12 or less. With the above configuration, even in a state where the surfaces of DLC are separated from each other on the sliding surface, by providing another material between the surfaces of DLC separated from each other, the sliding member can maintain its low friction state and prevent peeling of not only DLC but also another material. The sliding member may be in a cylindrical, columnar or sheet form. The material on the second sliding surfaces is at least any of WS2, MoS2, BN, POM, PE and PPS.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
